[News] Asphalt 8: Infinity Coming Soon Details leaked

Barely half a year passed since the release of Asphalt 7: Heat and a new Asphalt game is already on the way. The recently leaked developer diary revealed some new info about this highly-expected arcade racer.

Aside from the already expected graphical improvements, new tracks and vehicles, Asphalt 8: Infinitywill feature a completely new physics engine. However, before you think that Gameloft decided to turn Asphalt 8: Infinity into a driving simulation, take a look at the developer’s diary below.

Yes, driving on walls, air flips and high-speed collisions definitely don’t look very realistic, but what they do look is fun. Fun to play and fun to watch. The developers also announced some new multiplayer modes, although they didn’t go into any details. Even though there wasn’t any talk about the business model of the game, it’s safe to assume that the game will cost several dollars and that it’s going to feature in-app-purchases, just like the last installment of this long-lasting racing franchise. In overall, it seems that Gameloft is keen on not fixing what isn’t broken and if the last few years are any indication whatsoever, this policy will pay off once again.

Although the official release date is still unknown, we expect to see Asphalt 8: Infinity on the Play Store and App Store before the end of March.
